Jake was heading back to the dressing room, after a particularly loud and boisterous concert. Nina had slipped out "Just to get a drink," and Arn had headed for the bus, muttering something about Lee Harvey Oswald clones. That left Jake on his lonesome, and... he didn't particularly mind. He'd been on his own most of his life, and he was used to the quiet. Almost like an old friend, really.

He was a touch nervous being back in Gotham. He didn't want to get into any more scrapes than he had to, and Gotham had not particularly been good to him, in that department. Still. He had Nina and Arn with him this time. That had to count for something. Still, he couldn't help but lock the door behind him, as he trudged into the dressing room, looking for something resembling a chair to flop down in. He was dragging his guitar behind him, not minding the twangs and plunks of protest it sounded. He couldn't play anyway, what did it matter if it was out of tune, or broken?

To his credit, Jake managed to hang on to her through this transformation, and not let go to bolt for the door. He did lean back, as he'd rather not get his head caught in-- that. The teeth in there didn't look like silver, so he could probably heal from a bite, but he would just as soon (a) Not have his head crushed, and (b) Not get bitten at all, if possible.

"I think I do," He said, the fur on his neck standing up. Dayum, girl! "Neat trick. The R-Complex send you?" He would fight her by himself if he had to.

"Good," she purred smiling, the amusement reaching her eyes this time, although they remained cold. She took a step back now, less interested in teasing him now that she'd played her trick, her poise firm and confident and not a little menacing.

"R-Complex?" She tilted her head, not recognising the name. "Never heard of them."

Jake was somewhat torn. She hadn't attacked so far. Sure she was a bit weird, but then-- she wasn't human. Weird was part of that package, he was all too aware.

On the other hand, if this was a ruse... He did not want to go back to the R-Complex. "They're a gov'ment agency. Black bags folks like you 'r me to either disappear, or work on their leash." He frowned "Y'wouldn't be the first they'd sent to bring us back." He still hadn't let go. He wouldn't until he thought he could trust her. Bu the wasn't snarling any more, at least.

The wolfman was still holding her, making Gemini lift an eyebrow and glance down at his hands, her arms softening until they were like jelly and slipping out of his grasp.

Giving a look that said 'touch me again and you'll regret it' she thought over what he said. "Huh," she said out loud. She would need to investigate this R-Complex as a potential threat to the Brotherhood's plans although not to her. "You maybe, they'd have a hard time finding me. What kind of others have they sent?" She asked curious about what she might be up against in future.

Jake examined his hands for residual goo, after Gemini melted through his claws. That was a weird sensation. At least it hinted at how she got into the room. "Last time? Scorcher." He sighed slightly, remembering poor Cindy Brand, who they had had to leave behind when they escaped. "A-- fire starter." He couldn't remember the word 'pyrokinetic' but it would have been apt here.
